Funeral services for W. L. "Bill Ike" Allred, 75, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Chaplain Denny Burris officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

He passed away early Thursday morning, January 14, 2010, in a Terrell hospital.

Bill Ike was born August 17, 1934, in Wills Point, Texas, the son of Luther Isaac Allred and Thelma Jo Woods Allred. He was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School. In 1955, he graduated from Texas A & M University. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he was a 1st Lieutenant. Bill Ike opened W. L. Allred Real Estate now known as Century 21. He later was employed by the Dallas Fire Department, where he was a driver-engineer, retiring in 1989. On June 16, 1979, he married Jean Curtis Wright in Dallas. Bill Ike enjoyed collecting guns, hunting and ammunition reloading. He was a private pilot and loved to travel. The Wills Point Riding & Roping Club Arena was named W. L. Allred Arena in his honor. He was a member of the Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point.

Preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Ike Allred, Jr. and an infant child.

Bill Ike is survived by his wife, Jean Allred, of Wills Point; son, Bill Allred & wife, Frankie, of Houston; three step-sons, Mike Wright, of Lahani, Greece, Terry Wright & wife, Linda, of Cambridge, Arkansas and Brian Wright & wife, Kay, of Rowlett; daughter, Julie Jenkins & husband, Lanny, of Como; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: F. G. Hardy, Tommy Malone, Wayne Langford, Bobby Pirtle, Roy Deen and Jerry Sullivan.

Honorary Pallbearers: Tom Johnson, Charlie Pittman and John Crosby.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
