Message: Ada Bell Copeland married Mar. 8, 1917, in Wayne Co., Geo. to Archie Combs. She's not the daughter of Henry Jefferson and Emma (Reagan) Copeland. Ada Bell is the daughter of Isham and Lucia (Bishop) Copeland. I don't have an obituary for Ada Bell, but an item in a local Columbus, Geo., newspaper reported in 1944 that "Mrs. M. D. Landon was called to Waycross, Ga., on account of the death of her sister, Mrs. Ada Bell Combs." That's Isham and Lucia's daughter, Mary Viola (Copeland) Landon, Memorial #18094881.

The daughter of Henry and Emma who married a Combs is Annie Lou Copeland, Memorial #7718843, who married Nov. 27, 1907, in Henry Co., Geo., to Aldine Brown Combs. A newspaper obituary for Henry mentions surviving daughter Mrs. Aldine B. Combs, and a funeral notice for Emma also mentions her.
