Al V. Johnson, 74, of Breckenridge died Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at Gratiot Community Hospital.

Funeral services will take place Friday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Whiting Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Wise officiating. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be in Lafayette Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breckenridge Rescue Squad.

Mr. Johnson was born May 14, 1926 in Ill., the son of Alfred and Lola Johnson. He married Marie Hintermeister on November 4, 1950 in Lafayette Township.

He was employed by Don Sharkey, Laethem's and Bader's John Deere Dealerships. He retired as a parts manager.

Mr. Johnson served in the United States Army Airborne in World War II. He also was a member of the Breckenridge Masonic Lodge 406.

He is survived by his wife Marie; two children, Gail (Ed) Cole of Breckenridge and Michael (Karen) Johnson of Breckenridge; seven grand and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Decker of Miss. and Kay Ryan of Maple Rapids.
