RAY Columbia City, Jan. 17 –Francis Marion Ray, 83, died at the home of his son, Heber Ray, near Churubusco this morning. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alta Phillips, Collins, and Mrs. Ernest Stroh, Columbia City; the following sons, Harry Ray, Columbia City, Homer Ray, Kansas City, Heber Ray, Alvin Ray and Elmer Ray of Churubusco. He is also survived by two brothers, Charles Ray of Collins and Loman Ray, Columbia City and 11 grandchildren. The body was brought to the Sonday Funeral Home at Churubusco and will be taken to the home of his son, Heber Thursday afternoon. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 o’clock at the Collins United Brethren Church with Rev. V. L. Garner officiating. Burial will be in Eel River Cemetery. Journal-Gazette January 18, 1940
