Ila Jean Burningham Billings passed away on January 6, 2010 at her home in Murray, UT.


She was born April 21, 1928 in Provo, UT to Josephine Reynolds and Clarence William Burningham.


She married Bernard P. Billings on April 22, 1948 in Salt Lake City; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.


Ila held many callings in the LDS Church including serving in the Relief Society, where she was a homemaking and compassionate service leader. She also served in the scouting program for twenty-two years.


She was a loving and caring person who always put others before herself. Ila was very devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family loved her very much and she will be dearly missed.


She is survived by her husband, four children: Paul (Sandy), Shirley Bildzukewicz, Kevin W. (Nancy), and Diana Weaver, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, brothers Ross and Richard "Dick" Burningham and sister Zetha Parker. Preceded in death by sisters Edna Manookin and LaVerne Burningham, brothers Clarence, Floyd, Kenneth, Orin, Donald, and Dean.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hillside Ward Chapel, 435 East 5600 South, where a viewing will be held on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the services.
Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
