On Saturday evening Edwin Weiskopf, aged 57, who resided near Millhome, was fatally injured while walking on Highway 32 at about 8:15 o'clock.The car that struck Mr. Weiskopf was driven by Gilbert Rehm of this city.

Mr. Weiskopf died at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital on Sunday evening at 9 o'clock.Mr. Rehm was cleared of all criminal liability in the death of Mr. Weiskopf in a juryless coroner's inquest in the municipal court in Manitowoc Tuesday.

Authorities said that Mr. Weiskopf, who had been missing from his home for several days, was standing in the middle of the highway, as Mr. Rehm and his family drove along the highway. Mr. Rehm said he saw him stand there when he was 10 to 15 feet away from him, he swerved sharply, expecting Mr.Weiskopf to stand where he was. Instead he started walking into the path of the car and was hit by the car's right front fender.

The injured man suffered fractures to both legs, internal injuries and a skull fracture.
Deputy Sheriff Hilton Baumann who reported the accident to Sheriff Arthur Truttschel, said the injured man was taken to the St. Nicholas hospital shortly after the accident.

The deceased was born in the town of Schleswig on March 4, 1889, and following his marriage to Miss Anna Hansmann on March 26, 1913, the couple located on a farm 4 miles southwest of this city.
