Husband James Conley b-15 Aug 1865 Boston, MA D-11 Sept 1943 Chicago, IL Married 23 Nov 1910 Kalamazoo, MI. Married James H. Chambers 1864-1915 on 20 June 1891 Climax, MI. Children of this marriage were Zella Lucille Chambers 1892-1969, Ruel Howard Chambers 1894-1904 and Roberta K. Chambers 1898-1898. All are buried in Prairie Home Cemetery.

Zella was adopted by John Howard and his wife, Mary Wolcott 10 Oct 1881 by Order of Adoption and Change of Name. John and Mary's names on her death certificate. Zella's sibs were James Grier Jr. 1874-1879, Charles Asa 1876-1892, and Lucy Adelia (1879-1879). Eliza died in a boat house fire in August of 1879 on Lake Goguac along with 2 of her children, Jimmy and Lucy. Lucy and Jimmy were buried with Eliza in Youngs Cemetery in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, MI. in the Stewart Family plot marked Stewart??? Charles Asa was adopted in 1880 by George R. Manby and his wife, Hannah J. Crandall. Charles was kicked in the head by a horse and death was immediate ... he was only 16. The Manby's also adopted a daughter, Edythe Gowen Balls Pipe 1885-1940.
