MRS. JOHN ALLEN PASSES AWAY --- WAS 62 YEARS OF AGE; WIDELY KNOWN IN VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP
Mrs. Martha Allen, wife of John Allen, died at her home in Raglesville last Wednesday about noon, her death being caused by a complication of diseases from which she had been ill for some time.
Mrs. Allen was well and favorably known through out the township in which she resided and was past sixty-two years of age at the time of her death. Her maiden name was Perkins and she was united in marriage to John Allen to which union six children were born of whom five with the father and husband survive. These are Byron and John of Van Buren township, Jesse of California, Frank of Madison township and Mrs. Sarah Chestnut, also of Van Buren.
She also leaves two brothers and one sister.
Funeral arrangements have not been definately(sic) arranged as distant relatives have not been heard from as we go to press. (Odon Journal - Fri., Feb. 20, 1925, pg. 1)
