at 6:45 Saturday evening in the Church Home Infirmary Hospital, Baltimore. She had entered the hospital July 7 and underwent an operation Saturday morning. She died suddenly Saturday evening. She was born at Fairmount, W. Va., the daughter of John E. and Sara M. (Wells) Dicken, Her early life was lived in Fairmount, and then she moved with her parents to near Emmitsburg, where she lived for 12 years. In 1916, she was married and in 1917 moved to Waynesboro, where she had since lived.
She was a member of the First United Brethren Church and the Otterbein Class of the Sunday school. She is survived by her husband and four children: J. Herbert, Mrs.
Melvin Baumgardner, of Waynesboro; Richard and Dolores at home. Her parents, two brothers and one sister, Arlle Dicken and Emmit Dicken of Waynesboro, and Mrs. George Wantz of Fort Deposit, Md., also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 from the First United Brethren Church, in charge of the Rev. C. M. Ankerbrand. Interment will be in Green
Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening at the home from 7 to 9. The body may be viewed at the church from 1:30 until the time of the service.
