Mrs. Louise Catherine Spaulding, aged 41, of 19 Grant St., was found dead at her home Sunday night by her husband shortly after 7 o'clock. City police answered a call to the home.

Mrs. Spaulding's death was pronounced as suicide by Coroner O. O. Hausch this morning. After being halted in an attempt to take her life by gas, she later shot herself through the temple, death coming instantly, the coroner said.

She was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and was a member of St. James Episcopal church.

Mrs. Spaulding was employed in the commercial printing department of the Telegraph for 15 years until March, 1934. She operated a cylinder press.

Besides her husband, Charles, Mrs. Spaulding is survived by her mother, Mary Ahlstrom; four sisters, Mrs. Andrew G. (Hannah) Bixler, Mrs. David. M. (Christine) Bixler, and Mrs. Clayton (Mary) Hopkins of this city, and Mrs. John (Emma) Woide of Cleveland; five brothers, John and Arthur of this city, William of Mentor, Harvey of Chicago and Fred of Dallas, Texas.
