Woman Dies Very Suddenly Last Saturday
Mother Dies at Her Home in Eli Community Saturday: Funeral at Lakeview Sunday

Mrs. Florence Berry, age 73, without warning, suddenly died at her home in the Eli community, Saturday morning. Although she had been in ill health for the past five months, she was apparently doing nicely at the time of her death, and she and her sons were preparing to move into their new home here, which they had recently built, on Monday morning.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church at Lakeview Sunday at three o'clock with Rev. W.T. ?ower and J.O. Tidwell officiating. A large number attended the funeral, including several Memphis people, since Mrs. Berry was well known in Hall County, having lived here for the past eight years.

Mrs. Berry is survived by three sons, C.W.; J.A. and R.J. Berry, who were living at home at the time of her death, and three married daughters, Mrs. Siddie Perkins, of Eli; and Mrs. Florence Stewart, of Eli and Mrs. Josie Berry of Denver, Colo.; all of whom were here for the funeral. She is also survived by Mrs. Willard Wilson, an adopted daughter who has lived with her since childhood.

Mrs. Florence Berry was born in Talahosa, Florida, in 1851, where she lived until 18 years of age. Moving from Talahosa, she came to Navarro County, Texas, where she resided continuously until eight years ago when she came to Memphis. She has been a consistent member of the Baptist Church for a number of years.
