Juanita Vaughan Anderson, age 86, a native of Dickson County, TN and long time resident of Nashville, passed away December 20, 2009. Mrs. Anderson attended Highland Heights Junior High School and graduated from East High School in 1941. She worked for the Davidson County Court Clerk's office in Nashville where she worked with best friends June Walker and Hazel and her supervisor Robert E. Worell. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert Lawhorn and Inez Mai Lamastas Lawhorn; her first husband, Henry Harrison Vaughan, Jr. and her second husband, Charles Anderson. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her son, Bruce H. (Joy) Vaughan of Nashville, TN and her daughter, Teresa Vaughan Marshall of Chucky, TN; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held from the Chapel at Mount Olivet Funeral Home Wednesday, December 23 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Alive Hospice.
