He was a retired welder and pipefitter.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Hutson; his daughter, Cindy Hutson Hall and husband, Ollie (Chip) of Hanahan; Gregory F. Hutson of Moncks Corner, John D. Hutson of Atlantic Beach, FL and Harry H. F. Hutson, III (Hootie) and wife, Ann of Mt. Pleasant; his brother, Willard W. Hutson of Charleston; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
