Obituary from Farmer Funeral Home Chapel - Max M. Zeller, Jr., of Kountze, passed away at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont after a short struggle with cancer.

A longtime resident of Silsbee and Kountze, Max was a former police officer with the Silsbee Police Department and a retired foreman with Kirby Lumber Company. He and his wife Julia operated a store at the Tram Road Flea Market in Beaumont.

He was preceded in death by the bride of his youth and mother to his children, Jean Gibson Zeller, son Dale Zeller, parents Max and Nellie Zeller, Nichols Miller, brothers Ray Zeller, James Zeller and Jake Zeller. He was also preceded by an Infant Boy in 1948.

Survivors include his wife Julia; sons Chuck Zeller and wife Dixie and Mike Zeller; daughter Pam Overstreet brother Frank Zeller; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Knupple Cemetery. Reverend Chuck Willis officiating.

Max Zeller (45595785) Suggested edit: The spouse Julia doesn't even need to be mentioned since the marriage was not even a year. His son in law was not mention nor was his second wife Betty Zeller who he was married to for over 10 years. His step children were also not mentioned. I do not know who wrote that memorial, but it is not right and I find it disrespectful to leave out those who were so much a part of his life, but find it important to mention a spouse who wasn't a big part. Listing is wrong on one name due to a part of the name completely left out. Sad and I have no issues stating this since I am his granddaughter
