Anna Jean Allen, 85, of Waggoner, died Thurs., Apr. 10, 2014 at 3:29 p.m. in Taylorville Care Center. She was born on May 5, 1928 in Central City, KY, a daughter of Brank & Bonna Mae (Miller) Beck. Jean was a homemaker and a member of Waggoner Christian Church. In earlier years, she worked as a waitress at Art's Restaurant & Motel in Farmersville. In her leisure time, she enjoyed camping & doing crossword puzzles. She married Novice P. Allen, Jr. on Jan. 15, 1947 in Greenville, KY. They were married for 67 years. He survives.

She is also survived by one son, Bill D. (Bonnie) Allen; two daughters, Libby (Don) Dennison and Bonna (Steve) Rothe; one sister, Mary (Jack) Day; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Beck; one grandson, Jeffery Jones; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Dennison.

Funeral services will be held Tues., Apr. 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. Robert Farthing, pastor of Waggoner Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
