Byron Max Jerome, 90, of Dayton, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton.

He was born November 13, 1919, in Van Wert, the son of the late Perry M. and Princess L. (Snyder) Jerome. On August 2, 1941, he married Dolores (Rice) Jerome, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a son, Jeff Jerome of Northampton, Mass.; one daughter, Joyce (Terry) Gressner of Kettering; a sister, Janet E. Chadwick of East Liverpool; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Five brothers, Kenneth P. Jerome, Kenton C. Jerome, Forest Martin Jerome, Donald E. Jerome and Chalice M. Jerome; and four sisters, Jessie Jerome, Geraldine Denig, Vivian Anderson and Miriam Agler, also preceded him in death.

No funeral services are planned.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, December 19, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with burial to follow in Goodwin Cemetery in York Township.
