The monument is made of red granite with a Blue Pearl granite inlay. The red stripes are made by polishing the granite. The white stripes are not polished with white highlights applied to the area. Between each stripe is a black highlight to offer further distiction between the two colors. The Blue Pearl field is polished with 50 carved stars with the same white highlight.
The monument top is a half-serpentine cut and the sides are curved to give the monument an appearance that it is flying in the wind.
The panel and script are curved to keep the same flying appearance. |
