Obituary:
Hobart C. Bollinger of Aberdeen, Md., a former resident of Mount Union, died Thursday night, January 8, 1953, in the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. He was stricken suddenly ill and died three hours after entering the hospital. The deceased was born on August 27, 1899, in Orbisonia, the son of Dayton and Eliza (Watters) Bollinger. For a number of years he was a foreman at the Harbison-Walker Refractories Co. in Mount Union. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Eliza Bollinger, of Mount Union, one daughter, Maureen of Fulton, Miss., and three brothers, Lester Bollinger of Orbisonia and Raymond and Moreland Bollinger of Mount Union. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Clark funeral home in Moun Union with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Interment will be made in the Orbisonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.
