Mary Gullo Cordaro

SHREVEPORT, LA - Mary Gullo Cordaro, age 96, passed away on December 7, 2009. She was born on February 1, 1913, in Caccamo, Sicily to Sam and Benedetta Gullo. She was devoted to the well-being of her family and was employed by the Shreveport Macaroni Company for almost 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank T. Cordaro. She is survived by her son, John F. Cordaro, Sr., and wife, June Cordaro, by her grandchildren John F. Cordaro, Jr., and Karen Wood Leach, and husband Bill Leach, and by three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted by Osborn Funeral Home with a prayer service beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church celebrated by Monsignor Earl Provenza. Entombment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Joseph B. Cordaro family, the W. N. Logan Family, D. J. Cordaro, Ronnie Lewis, and John W. Thomas.

The family wishes to give special thanks to her caregivers Christa Jernigan, Judy Van Horn and staff, to Elaine Clee and to the Sunset Hospice care, also special thanks to Eucharistic Minister Jerry Cornish for his spiritual comfort and to all or her neighbors on Annette St.
