James "Jim" Sherrod Middleton, age 67, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009. Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Eidson officiating. Burial will follow at Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Mr. Middleton was a native of Jacksonville, Florida but had made his home in Milledgeville since 1978. He was retired from Rheem Manufacturing Company and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Curtis Troy and Barbara Moon Middleton.

Survivors include his son Frank Sherrod Middleton of Milledgeville, his daughter Tammy Maldonado of Ogden, Utah, his brother Tony Middleton (Julie) of Jacksonville, Florida, two nephews Joseph Sherrod Middleton and Joshua Robert Middleton, both of Jacksonville.

The family will receive friends Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 am at Moores Funeral Home.

Cause of death: Heart Attack brought on by congestive heart failure.

Jim is buried right where he wanted to be: at the feet of our great grandparents, Ma & Pa Sherrod
