Born west of Noblesville, and a graduate of Noblesville High School, she was the daughter of Joseph and Grace Vert Combs, who are deceased.
She was united in marriage Oct. 25, 1922 to Herbert Beals, who survives. She was a member of the Westfield Methodist Church, Westfield Woman's Club, Country Research Club, Garden Club, the Westfield Order of Eastern Star, and the ladies Auxiliary of the Westfield American Legion.
Other than her husband survivors are two sons, Howard M. Beals, Indianapolis, and Dr. Joseph M. Beals of Detroit, and a brother, Harry Combs of Erie, Pa.
