Mrs. Mary J. Duff, aged 79 years, died at the home of her son Bert Duff in Summit Valley 12 miles west of Addy February 26. Besides her husband John Duff and a son Bert, she is survived by two daughter, Mrs. Blanche Huff of Faith, Alberta, and Mrs. Fred Smith of Volga, Iowa. Mrs. Duff was born in 1841 at Marion, Indiana, her maiden name being Bird. She was married at Volga, Iowa, to John Duff in 1862, and came to Washington in 1901. The funeral will be held Tuesday and will be conducted by Undertaker Quinn W. McCord. Rev. Alborn of the Baptist church, of which deceased had been a lifelong member, will conduct the services.
The Colville examiner. (Colville, Wash.), 28 Feb. 1920∼Husband's obituary spells last name as Huff. This may have been the last name of their daughter Bertha's husband.
