Edna Lee Campbell
Edna Lee Jennings Campbell, a former teacher, died Monday at her Mobile home. She was 89. Campbell, a native of Cumberland, Miss., had resided in the Port City since 1956. A graduate of Bennet Academy and Mobile College, she had taught art, math and mechanical drawing at public schools in Semmes as well as in Mississippi, Tennessee and Florida. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jennings Bryan Campbell, and a son, James B. Campbell. Visitation will be Wednesday at Spring Hill Baptist Church on McGregor Avenue from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. services begin. Burial will be at Pine Crest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mission Trip Fund of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway is directing.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 12 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Terry Ellis, Dr. Jerry Gunnells, and Rev. Tom Carter officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Will Wright, David Grayson, Robbie Casson, George Watson, Bill Gafford, and Gilbert Lundy. Honorary pallbearers included the W.A. Wood Sunday School Class, George Wood, Otis Dunn, Ken Burroughs, Norman Williams, Bobby Chadwell, Herbert Neal, Arnold Taylor, Jerry Thompson, Buddy Long, Dewey Mosley, Jack Cunningham, and Bill Langley. Interment was in Pine Crest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Mission Trip Fund of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
