Richard was born to Tony and Madeline Boggio Supancic. They preceded him in death. He was the youngest of their three sons.

His brothers, Tony (Jennie) and Ronnie, survive him.

He graduated from Wichita North High School in Wichita, Kan., and attended the Kansas School of Business.

Richard was employed at Caterpillar Inc. for 36 years, retiring April 1, 2009.

He married Diane Jones on Oct. 28, 2006, in Peoria, Ill. She was his soul mate and best friend. They enjoyed their short time together, traveling and spending time together on their Harley. Diane took Richard to Wrigley Field and he's been a Chicago Cubs fan ever since.

He is survived by children, Monica (Wesley) Reed, Gavin and April Zainey; stepchildren, Leon (Rosa) Pyron, Julie (Dan) Brandenburg and Lisa (Dave) Durlacher; grandson, Roger Thomas; step grandchildren, Alicia Jimenez, Andrew Car-Skaden, Sunni, Joseph and Kristen Pyron, and Dane, Reese and Bryce Durlacher.

Special thanks go to his wonderful friends, Dick and Nancy Durr, Rob and Jan DeTrempe and Bobby Heinz. They always were there when needed, emotionally and spiritually. Pastor James Clark and the church family of Crossroads Baptist Church in Peoria were invaluable for their help, dedication and love for Richard and Diane.
