Son of General Sherman & Linda Elizabeth Hopper Williams
WILLIAMS, FOISTER - age 91, of Philadelphia passed away on Friday November 27, 2009, he was born April 3, 1918 in Union County to General and Linda Williams. He gave his heart to God and belonged to Salem Baptist Church. He loved his family, friends, and was very proud of them. His greatest joy was spending time with them, and watching each one grow up. He loved farming and teaching farm life and doing the right things in this life. He enjoyed people and would always reach out his hand to help them. He served in WW II and retired as business agent of Local 818. Preceded in death by son: Billy Shawn Williams; grandson: Steven Travis Patterson; son-in-law: Gary Steven Paterson; father and mother: General and Linda Williams; brothers: Ottis, Paris, and Floyd Williams; sisters: Satra Pyke and Doskey Williams. Survived by loving wife: June Williams; daughters: Brenda Williams, Virginia Sharp and Bobby, all of Philadelphia; grandchildren: April Pelfrey and husband Steve, and Billy Shawn Williams II; great-grandchildren: Cyndell Roberts, Sawyer Pelfrey, Zack and Mason Patterson; grand-daughter-in-law: Lani Patterson; special sister-in-law and friend: Ruby Lee Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, where the family will receive friends on Sunday November 29, 2009 from 1:00P.M. until 3:00P.M. with the funeral service to follow in Kyker's Chapel at 3:00P.M. with Rev. Jimmy Maddox, Rev. Ronnie Tuttle, and Rev. David Largen officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45A.M. at the Paint Rock Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday for a 10:00A.M. interment.
