Ardis Long Allred 1926 ~ 2009 Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ardis Long Allred, 83 years of age, passed away at home of cancer on November 24, 2009. Her patience and dedication to her family and the Lord will be an everlasting example to us all.Ardis was born October 26, 1926 in Vernal, Utah to Dorson and Olive Rudy Long. She married Dwaine Allred on September 9, 1944, in Los Angeles, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She is survived by her husband, Dwaine, of 65 years of marriage, her son, Dee (Kathryn), and her daughter, Beth (Gary) Beutler. She has nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren whom she loved to spoil by making their favorite graham cracker cookies. Ardis was a devoted temple worker of 10 years in the Vernal Temple which was one of the joys of her life. She also served in the Jordan River and Oquirrh Mt. Temples. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah, on Saturday, November 28, 2009, with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
