Mr. Kirkland was born Aug. 12, 1891 at Gansville, Louisiana. He came to Casa Grande 30 years ago from Oklahoma and had resided here for 30 years. He was a retired foreman for the San Carlos Irrigation Project.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Letha Kirkland, Casa Grande; his sons, Wilbur and Dennis Kirkland; his daughters, Mrs. Billie Pearce, of Phoenix, Mrs. A. L. (Euda) Rainey, Paris, TX, Mrs. Thomas (Sue) Seaton, Pasadena, TX, Mrs. Doug (Mildred) Williams, Hugo, OK, and Mrs. Arnold (Shirley) Winberry, Apple Valley, CA; one brother, Claude Kirkland, Lindsey, CA; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Methodist Church in Arkansas.
Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
