Eleanor L. Couch 86 Brownsburg formerly of Greensburg, Indiana passed away Saturday November 21, 2009 at Brownsburg Meadows Brownsburg. She was born December 8, 1922 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of Dr. Ralph Emerson & Phronsie Lucille (Martin) McIndoo. She was a 1940 graduate of Kokomo High School, received her Undergraduate Degree at the University of Chicago after transferring from Depaw University, she then received her Masters of Education Degree from Indiana University. She was a Teacher at North Decatur High School: French, Spanish, & English for 10 years. She had moved away from Greensburg in the early 2000s. She was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church, the UMW Martha Circle, Tri Kappa, & PEO Sisterhood, she enjoyed gardening and playing Bridge. She married Carl Victor Vic Couch on December 21, 1947 in Kokomo, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1991.
She is survived by Four Daughters: Margaret (Edward) Parker of Greensburg, Indiana, Ginger (Richard) Lentz of Pittsborough, Indiana, Cathy (Fernando) Casasco of Charleston, South Carolina, Barbara (Jerry) Shutters of Dallas, Georgia; One Son Tom (BethAnn) Couch of Round Lake, Illinios. 23 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces & Nephews also survive.
Friends may call at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday November 24, 2009 from 1:00PM until the time of service 3:00PM. Pastor David Crowley will be officiating. Burial will follow in the South Park Cemetery Greensburg. Memorial Contributions may be made the United Methodist Church or to the Greensburg Public Library.
