Robert Dale Hubbs was the son of George Hubbs and Frances Pauline Chesney(daughter of Grover Chesney of Nebraska and Lillie Jones of Kansas. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 31, 1916 and lived at 1261 Redlands Boulevard in Colton with her husband, George Hubbs. She died on March 22, 1987 and was a homemaker). Robert married Judith K. and had at least one son, Christopher Hubbs I.

The eldest son of three boys of George E. Hubbs and Marjorie Amos, was born on August 30, 1937 and passed away December 24, 2005. He was born in Colton and graduated in the class of 1955. He attended San Bernardino Valley College, and then served four years in the air force. He then went to Cal Poly majoring in Civil engineering and worked for California Department of Transportation for 35 years. He also got a master's in business Amdinistration and retired, due to illness in 1990. He leaves behind three daughter and a brother Richard. He will be laid to rest next to his son, Christopher.
