Heart Ailment Fatal to Lindenwood Farmer

Frank W. Pollard, 53, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at his home on rural route one, Lindenwood. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.

Mr. Pollard, a farmer, was born in Rockford Aug. 19, 1887 and resided on a farm southeast of Winnebago for 19 years before moving to Lindenwood in 1932.

Surviving are his widow, Alice; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Rittmeyer, residing near Winnebago; two sons, Earl, at home, and Harry, residing west of Lindenwood; two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Brauer of Winnebago and Mrs. Guy Andrews of Rockford, and three brothers, Joseph and George Pollard, both of Rockford, and Roy Pollard of Miami, FL. One sister died 12 years ago.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night.

Funeral services for Frank W. Pollard, 53, rural route one, Lindenwood, who died Thursday at his home, will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the home and at 2 p.m. at Lindenwood Union church. The Rev. Roland Plout will officiate and burial will be in Winnebago Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Burpee-Wood funeral home, 420 North Main Street.
