Julia Whitehead Perry of Mountain Home died Friday ( May 17, 1991) at home. She was 72.
A lifelong resident of Mountain Home, Mrs. Perry was born Aug. 8, 1918, at Martin Springs.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley McGowan of Friendwood, Texas, and Helen Gambrell of North Little Rock; one sister, Lorraine Martin of California; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and hosts of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Belle and Mr. (first name unknown) Whitehead; her husband, Thurston Perry in 1990; one son, Harold Dean Perry and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 2 to 9 pm today at Roller Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 pm.
Services will be 2:30 Sunday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Best officiating.
Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery at Norfork.

NOTE: her birthplace, Martin Springs is across the White River from Norfork.
