He was born 12 Mar, 1897 in Gastonia, North Carolina, a son of Benjamin F. and America Teague Ball. He married Anna Cline Ball 12 Feb 1919 in Logan County, WV. They had the following children: Eugene W., Donald D., Harold B., Gladys G., Genevieve N., and Shirley A., Ball. Jacob was a member of First Church of the Nazarene for over seventy years. He retired from Inco Alloys International in 1962. He was a always working and enjoyed raising a garden.
