Billy Blair of Raymond, passed away on March 16, 2005 at Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend. He was 79.

He was born June 14, 1925 in Louisa, Kentucky to John and Idabell Rowe. He was raised and graduated from high school in Williamson, West Virginia. He had served in the US Army Combat Engineers, 288th Combat Battalion during WWII. After the war he moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where he worked for Rocket Dyne Corp., in Canoga Park for 10 years.

On December 25, 1954 he married Virginia Audrey Creviston in Los Angeles, Calif. She passed away January 22, 2005.

Mr. Blair graduated from Pierce Jr. College in Woodland Hills, Calif. in 1964. In 1966 Mr. and Mrs. Blair moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked as a Senior Electric Technician for 25 years with the US Departments of Energy's Nevada Atomic Test Site, EG&G Energy Measurements. He also had his own clock making and repair business. In 1996 they moved to Raymond to be near Virginia's family.

He was a member of the United Church of Raymond and the Raymond VFW. He enjoyed learning about computers and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Blair is survived by his brother and sister in-laws; Gene and Judy Dennett and Steve and Emily Nickerson both of Raymond and Steve and Myra Creviston of Moses Lake, Wash and a cousin, Omega Cole of Oak Forest, Illinois.

His brother, John, Jr. and sisters, Irene Gannon and Lorraine Granatowski, died previously.

At his request there will be no service. Inurnment will take place at the Lakebay Cemetery at a later date.
