During the summer of 1873, the district built a school house and contracted with Luther Nichols to build it.Students in the school were: Julia, Martin and William Nichols.
Luther attended school at Springville Academy New York State, 7 miles from East Otto, New York.
Class leader in Methodist church for 30 years.
