David "Patrick" Dewey
April 1, 1949 - September 8, 2006
David "Patrick" Dewey went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8, 2006. He was born on April 1, 1949 in New Roads, Louisiana.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. Dewey Jr. and Margaret Langlois Dewey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Riki Dewey; his three children, Laurie Dewey Marek, Aimee Dewey Witherspoon, and Michael Dewey; sons-in-law, Chad Marek and John Witherspoon; grandchildren, Elise Nicole Marek and William John Witherspoon. He is also survived by his four brothers, Thomas Dewey, Paul Dewey, James Dewey, and Mark Dewey.
Pat was a Vietnam-era Veteran in the United States Air Force. He was a Human Resource Specialist in the utilities industry for 20 years. He volunteered as a YMCA T-ball and football coach and also participated in the Lions Club. One of his proudest moments was when he coordinated the Troops for Texans rally during the first Persian Gulf War at Moorhead Memorial Stadium. Pat, as his family and friends called him, always placed other people first regardless of how well he knew them and with his positive outlook on life, he touched the lives of many people. He shared a great life full of love, cherished memories, family and friendship.
Visitation and vigil for family and friends will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2006 with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Religious services will be held at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2006.
Interment will follow the service in Garden Park Cemetery, Conroe, Texas.
