MARY JOAN ZIMMERMAN passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008. She was born on May 19, 1935 to Anna and Michael Spiegel in East Chicago, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Michael and John Spiegel; sisters, Anne Hansen and husband Pierce and Elizabeth Muskowski and husband Larry. Mary Joan is survived by her husband, Stuart Zimmerman; son, Kurt M. Zimmerman; grandsons, Nicholas and Michael Zimmerman; sister-in-law, Lucille Spiegel; nieces and nephews, Thomas Spiegel and wife Kathy, Larry Spiegel and wife Patty, Michael Spiegel and wife Vicki, Dennis Zelenke and wife Ann, Rick Leimbach and wife Linda, Michael Hansen and wife Kate, Jeffrey Zimmerman and wife Lisa, Lynn Zimmerman, Erich Zimmerman, and Lisa Norton.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 12, 2008, with a Vigil Service beginning at 5:30 p.m., at the Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 13, 2008, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10330 Hillcroft St., Houston, TX 77096. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
