John & Elizabeth were married in 1833 at Saddleworth, Yorkshire, England.

Two sons, John III & Joseph, emigrated from England with them.
They were pioneers to Utah with the Darwin Richardson Co. in 1854.

The year after arriving in Utah they were blessed with another child, a daughter, they named Ruth Agnes. These three children grew to adulthood and raised families of their own.

ALBISTON -- Thursday, April 2, 1891. John Albiston, Sen., at the residence of his son, John Albiston near Franklin, Idaho.
Deceased was born April 1814, at Stockport, Cheshire, England; was the son of Patriarch John Albiston, and was baptized April 15, 1840, by Elder Henry Royle. After presiding first over Dukinfield, then over Ashton-Under-Lyne branches, he was called to preside over the Sheffield Conference in 1852. From there he was called to the presidency of the Bradford Conference in 1853, where he continued his labors until his release to come to Utah in 1854. He first settled in Grantsville, Tooele County, but soon after removed to Ogden then to Springville, afterwards to Wellsville; but in the spring of 1860 he settled in Richmond, Cache County, where he has resided since that time, except about two years and a half when he was on a mission to England. He left for this mission in the fall of 1868, returning in the summer of 1871. His funeral took place at Richmond on his birthday, April 4, 1891. He leaves two sons and one daughter and seventeen grandchildren. He died as he had lived in full hope of a glorious resurrection.
