FRANKLINTON - Marie Louise Corkern, age 86, a resident of the Bonner Creek community died at 9:45 p.m. Friday, April 13 in St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington. Born Sept. 7, 1920, she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Selmon Corkern of the Bonner Creek community; two daughters, Janette Frances Taylor of Franklinton and Marie Janell Davis of Talisheek; a son, Selmon Corkern Jr. of Franklinton; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bartholamew and Margaret Antony; and sisters, Bernadine Douglas, Carolyn Tyrney and Gloria Chatelier.

Visitation was held at Crain Funeral Home on Sunday, April 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. Visitation continued Monday, April 16 at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church until time for a funeral mass at 10 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Jonathon Dufrene officiated, with burial following in the Bonner Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service were: Clay Taylor, Russell Taylor, Jason Davis, Marc Davis, Selmon Corkern III and Fred Mizell.
