Edna Olson was born on January 21, 1912, in Union county, South Dakota. She spent her early childhood on the farm of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Olson. She was baptized at the age of 12 on July 5, 1924, at Big Springs Baptist church, Alcester, by Rev. B. L. Carlton.
She graduated from Akron high school in 1930 and attended South Dakota State College, Brookings, South Dakota, after which she taught rural school near Akron, Iowa.
She married Milford Anderson on May 22, 1938. To this union were born three children, Merlowe, 13, Carol Ann, 9, and Kay Marie, 4.
Suvivors are the widower, three children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Olson of Sioux Falls, SD.; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Palmer of Sibley, IA., and Mrs. Chas. M. Johnson of Sioux Falls; one brother, Dr. Forrest W. Olson of Oklahoma City, OK.; ten nieces and nephews. One brother, Donald Olson, preceded her in death in 1953.
Services were held last Friday at the Big Springs Baptist church with Rev. D. A. Miller officiating. Interment was at the Big Springs cemetery.
