Master Sargent (Retired) Aaron L. Clemons was born February 15, 1918 to Christopher Columbus Clemons and Marinda (Carpenter)Clemons. He passed from this earth on March 28, 1975 at his residence in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Aaron served our country for over 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. He was captured during WWII by the Japanees and remained a Japanees POW for several years until the end of WWII. Clemons fought during the Korean conflict. Upon his return to the States, Clemons was stationed at many Marine Corp bases throughout the world. His last assignment before retirment in June 1960 was Camp LeJeune North Carolina. After retirement, Clemons and his family returned to his routes, Oklahoma.

Aaron was proceeded in death by his parents CC Clemons and Marinda Clemons, two brothers, Earl and Auther Clemons and one sister, Mallie Clouse. He is survived by two sons James Lee Clemons and wife Judy and grandson Jeff of Elmore City, and Rodger Dale Clemons of Oklahoma City, and one daughter Kay Lynn Clemons of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
