She was the daughter of Authur and Ida Accord Tolbert. The family moved to Ashland where she spent her early years attending school. She married Ray Allen on Aug. 3, 1935, in Kiowa. They moved from Ashland to Kiowa in 1942, and lived there until 1960, when they moved to McAlester where she spent the remainder of her life. She was employed as a seamstress and supervisor at Seamprufe. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, cooking, reading, and was a care giver to her family. She enjoyed listening to her husband's country music band before his death. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Irene Tolbert, of Plano, Texas; a sister, Elmina Thomas, of McAlester; her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Aggie Allen, of Stonewall; grandchildren, Toni Alsberge and husband, Jeff, of Monterey, Calif., Roena Greuel, of Oklahoma City, Leta Watkins and husband, Don, of Stuart, Jeff Price, of Visalia, Calif., Matt Price, of Orange, Texas. And, great-grandchildren, Lisa Simone and husband, Chris, of Wichita, Kan., Kelly Pagonis, of Oklahoma City, Michael Pagonis, of Oklahoma City, Jack Greuel, of Oklahoma City, Mark Greuel, of Oklahoma City, Roger Williamson, of Bunker Hill, W. Va. and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Author and Ida Tolbert; her husband, Ray Allen; her daughter, Frankie Collier; a grandson, Wade Glasscock; five brothers, and five sisters. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
