Daughter of Dr. David & Mary Scott. Married to Emanuel Rupp in 1826. They had 12 chilren: Mary Ann, Rebecca, William Scott, Susan Bell, Catherine, George W, David Alexander, Syndia Grace, Nathaniel, John, Charley R. & Charles Henry. Mrs. Catharine Rupp, at the home of her son in Washington, Iowa. Prior to last winter, the deceased had been a continuous resident of Muscatine County since 1855. She had attained the advanced age of 84 years and leaves nine children, 36 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The remains will be transported to this city for internment: the funeral to occur next Sunday from the Barnard residence, No. 313 East Third St. Muscatine, Iowa. Note: Catherine is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, Ogilvie addition, Block 12, Lot 42.
