Diane Kay was born in Bismark, North Dakota on August 26, 1949 to Karl and Katherine (nee Bieber) Offenbacker. Dee graduated from Litchfield High School in 1967. She married Bruce Boehland on June 16, 1968. They were blessed with daughter, Darla and son, Barry. Dee worked for many years at Tonka Toys. She worked as a Kitchen Aid at the Howard Lake High School and also worked at Gage Marketing in Howard Lake. Dee began working for Walter G Anderson in 1993 and was still employed with them at the time of her death. On July 16, 1994, Dee married Donovan Johnson at St. John's Church in Howard Lake. When Dee wasn't working, she enjoyed going to casinos, concerts, craft shows, eating out with friends, shopping, listening to music (especially Elvis Presley), taking trips to Branson with Don, and being with her grandchildren.
Dee is survived by: husband, Don; children: Darla Yager (friend Wade Heins), Buffalo, Barry (Elise) Boehland, Veseli, Judy (Mark) Boeckers, Buffalo, & Jim (Kelli) Johnson, Montrose; grandkids: Melissa, Christopher, Matt, Amanda, Jordan, Bailey, Austin, and Abbi; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dee Johnson's funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Maple Lake. Visitation is Tuesday 4-8 at The Peterson Chapel with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation resumes at church, one hour before the funeral. Burial is at Howard Lake Cemetery.
