Raema was born Jan. 12, 1968 in Ogden, Utah to Vern Burnell and Nial LaPreal McCurdy Richens. She married Troy Carter, they later divorced.
Raema loved horses and competed in barrel racing. She enjoyed playing the piano, visiting the mountains, making crafts, quilting and crocheting. She had a beautiful talent writing poetry and published two poems. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and primary teacher, who always went the extra mile.
She is survived by her parents Vern and Nial Richens, Ballard; children, Verjeana (Jassiel Saenz) Carter, Vernal; William Carter, Gusher; Curtis Carter, Roosevelt; step-children Christina (Richard) Martinez, Vernal; Brandon Carter, Roosevelt; grandchildren Tanner, Mereka, Andalesia Martinez; Damian and Dreyvin Johnson; Mia Serawop and one on the way. Also survived by her brothers, Vernon (Diane) Richens, Gusher; and Cyle Richens, Vernal.
Funeral services were held Oct. 23 at the Ballard LDS Chapel.
Burial was in the Gusher Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary
