BALBEN, John C. "Jack" 60 of Cochituate died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009. He was the son of the late John W. Balben and Grace L. (Pepper) Balben who both died in 1977. He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Catherine M. (Ahern) Balben of Cochituate. Jack was the loving father of Mary Grace Balben; James W. Balben; John T. "JT" Balben and Kevin G. Balben all of Cochituate. Visitations on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Route 30), Cochituate. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Ann's Parish, Route 27, Wayland. Interment to follow in the Balben family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests gifts in Jack's memory may be sent to Framingham State College Athletic Program, Attn: Tom Kelly, Athletic Director, Dwight Hall, State St, Framingham, MA 01702.
