C P Harmon Rites Held at Houlka

Calvin Pinkey Harmon, 79, a retired general store owner, died at his home in Houlka at 10:45 pm on Aug 13 1975. Funeral services were conducted from the Houlka Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jim Phillips and Rev. Joe Montgomery officiating. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Harmon was born in Calhoun County and had resided all his life in Houlka. He was the son of Will Harmon and Mandy Mathis Harmon, and a member of the Houlka First United Methodist Church.

He was married to Lydia Tallent Harmon, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Wilburn Harmon of Houlka and James Earl Harmon of Tupelo; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Houge of Grand Prairie, Tx., Mrs. Maybell Marks, of Memphis, and Mrs. Jeanette Wiggs of Houlka. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, and five sisters, Dexter Harmon of Drenlin, Tn., Frank Harmon of Houston, Ms., Jasper Harmon of Houston, Tx., Miss Lottie Harmon of Calhoun City, Mrs. Anna Bell Corzet and Mrs. Eula Mae Bryant, both of Pittsboro, Mrs. Hassie Von and Mrs. Rosa Lee McKay, both of Houston, Tx.
