Antha Angeline (Tucker) Altizer,68, of Rt 1 Stuarts Draft, died Sunday,September 9, 1990 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara Lawrence.
She was born May 14, 1922 in Staunton, daughter of Ennis and Irene (Britt) Tucker.
She was employed by American Safety Razor for 17 years before retiring in 1980 and was a member of the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Denton Allen Altizer on Jan. 9, 1990.
Survivors include four sons, Charles M. III of Royce City, Tx, Donald R. of Lexington, Ky., Michael D. of Stuarts Draft and Mark A. Altizerof Long Island, NY; two daughters Shirley Miller of Stuarts Draft and Rita Seaton of Harrisonburg; one brother Randolph Tucker of Newport News, Va, one sister Leta Landis of Richmond, Va; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at Henry Funeral Home by the Rev. Stan Kent. Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetary.
Pallbearers will be Joe B. Smiley Jr., Forrest Cook,Jeff Britt,Raymond Lawerence,Glenn Lloyd and Andrew Hostetter.
