Robert was born in Chicago to Lawrence H. Bilek and Valeria M. Bilek (Luckey). He had 2 sisters, Rose (Bilek) Saenz and Bernadette Smith. His brothers were Eddie, Johnnie and Larry. His step mother was the late Josephine Bilek. Robert is survived by his three children, Robert Jr., Christopher and Errin Marie.
Robert worked for the Defense Information School for over 25 years in the Electronics repair section. Once the school moved from Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana to Fort Meade, Maryland he became an instructor in electronic maintenance of broadcast equipment. It was always his dream to be an instructor.
He is also survived by his long time friend, Ms. Doris Ann Garrett.
