SHELBY — Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Dixon Glover, 80,died Friday, June 15, 2007, at Hospice at Wendover.
Born in Cleveland County, Mrs. Glover was a daughter of the late Will and Laura Page Dixon. She retired from Dora Yarn in Cherryville and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. "Jake" Glover; two brothers, Edgar and Willard Dixon; three sisters, Madge Hamrick, Maude Mellon and Net Mellon; grandson, Tyler Wayne Tomlin; son-in-law, Dennis Humphries and two daughters-in-law, Christine Willis Glover and Linda Foster Glover.
She is survived by two sons, Bobby Glover of Fallston and Jimmy Glover of Lawndale; two daughters, Cornelia "Connie" Glover and Brenda Humphries both of Shelby; eight grandchildren, Tammy Humphries, Kim Ellis and husband, Brian, Robby Glover and wife, Teressia, Dwayne Humphries and wife, Misti, Mark Humphries and wife, Candace, Shane Glover and wife, Stacey, Kylie Glover and Susanne Glover and seven great grandchildren, Dustin and Kris Tomlin; Brooke Humphries; Autumn, Brandon and Colton Glover and Tyler Pruitt.
