Patricia "Pat" Donawho, 62, departed her earthly body Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Birchman Baptist Church with Dr. Paul Pinyan and the Rev. Bob Cunningham officiating. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park on Crowley Road in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Pat was born May 8, 1947, in Amarillo. She was a generous and charitable servant, giving years of her time to volunteering at Baylor All Saints in Fort Worth. Pat took part in years of charitable holiday activities for both children and adults, as well. She was an active church member at Birchman Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Pat loved and empathized with everyone she met.
Pat was preceded in death by her father, Dan D. Harris, and mother, Ardie Harris; brothers, Doug Harris, Robert Harris and David Harris; and sister, Lila Wilmon. She was also preceded by her mother-in-law, Elsie Donawho Garrison; sisters-in-law, Christine Donawho Capps and Beatrice Donawho Pinyan; brothers-in-law, Billy Pinyan and Bobbie Benton; and nephews, Marty, Bruce and Eric Donawho.
Survivors: Husband of 42 years, W.V. "Vince" Donawho of Benbrook; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Holly Donawho of Crowley; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Brian Purkins of Lavon; the apples of her eye, grandchildren, Joe, Danna, Jake and James Purkins of Lavon and Fain and Addie Jo Donawho of Crowley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joy and Ray Eaves of Edinburg and Judy and Bob McDonough of Georgetown; brother and sister-in-law, Donny and Gwen Harris of Keller; brothers and sisters, James and Jean Donawho of Burleson, Geraldine Meadows of Mansfield, Jeanette and Ken Berndt of Kansas, Ima Jean and Earl McReynolds of Burleson and Linda and Carl Crew of Mansfield; and many, many nieces and nephews. She loved you all.
